J-Thaxx is Pro!
Excuse us for a little self-indulgence on this, pride can sometimes be a tad negative an emotion but not in this instance; Route One rider Jordan Thackeray has just turned pro for Lovenskate and we’re so proud we wanna shout it from the rooftops!
Obviously he’s already had one hell of a year; travelling the world with Vans, his Lovenskate ‘Don’t Worry Gordo…’ part blowing minds (with the most positive of reviews on Thrasher’s Skateline) and the summer comp season saw viral Instagram moments pretty much an everyday occurrence. The lad is defo “living his best life!”
So, this past Monday, Stu at Lovenskate decided it was high time to put that cherry on Jordan’s proverbial cake and turn him pro. Booking out South London’s ‘Peckham Audio,’ Stu arranged for all the Colchester and Essex locals to travel over, put word out with the London homies and organised pretty much everyone important in Jordan’s life to be in place for a surprise party.
Obviously a good surprise party needs a believable excuse and nothing seemed more timely than the promise of a “Lovenskate Christmas Meal,” sadly this ruse worked a little too well and Jordan, accompanied by partner in crime Sox, starved himself all day to “make the most of it.” Worn out from the day, when the crowd jumped out to surprise him he got so excited he had a nose bleed! And there was no food!
To be fair we can’t imagine his tummy rumblings bothered him for long; free flowing champagne and childhood dreams coming true aren’t too regular an occurrence and J-Thaxx was definitely making the most of the night!
Big thanks to Stu and the rest at Lovenskate, it meant a lot to be involved with our boy’s night and you defo pulled off a blinder! And congrats once again to Jordan, never was pro status more deserved and it couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke. Keep on killing it mate!
