My local is a little park we like to call Mackie, it’s in Large so like an hour outside of Glasgow.
FAVOURITE SPOT?
To be honest I don’t really have a favourite, I just like a spot I can have fun at!
DREAM SPOT?
There’s a spot in Cali I saw T-Funk skate in a bark part. Its like a ride on ledge over stairs, it looked sick!
FAVOURITE OBSTICLE TO SKATE?
I love anything I can do ride on grinds; I like to get creative with them and they’re just so fun.
GO-TO TRICK?
Go-to trick has to be a board slide on a ledge, there my go to warm up and I love getting creative with them. There are endless possibilities.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT SKATING?
Soi work in a pet shop which I love Because I’m such an animal person, its perfect. I also do a lot of photography, when I’m not shooting skating, I’m out doing landscapes and Astro photography.
HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF SKATEBOARDING?
Photography has to be my most important hobby. Always has been, always will be.
TOP 3 SKATERS?
Top spot has to go to Leo baker, I Watched them when I was first getting into skateboarding, so they’ve always been a favourite for me. Second is Luan Olivera. I used to love watching him when I started and got obsessed with him. Jake Wooten is for sure number three. I’ve followed him on Insta for ages and he blows my mind daily. Meeting him in person has to be a highlight!
WHO INFLUNCES YOU THE MOST IN SKATEBOARDING?
I’d definitely have to say Leo Baker, they are so good at skating abut it’s not just about that, they have done so much for skating as a whole, especially women’s skateboarding. They are the reason why skateboarding is so progressive and inclusive today.
WHO INFLUENCES YOU THE MOST OUTSIDE OF SKATEBOARDING?
So iv always been a fan of this photographer called Peter McKinnon, he does a lot of YouTube videos and tutorials, he’s one of the main reasons I got into landscape photography, his videos helped me a lot when I was first learning.
WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU LISENTING TO RIGHT NOW/ LAST SONG PLAYED?
My music taste is so varied it’s crazy, one minute it’s Kendrick Lamar and the next it could be the Beach Boys hahaha. My last played song was actually “Poundshop Kardashian’s” by Sam Fender.
WHAT MUSIC GET’S YOU AMPED TO SKATE?
Like I said, my music is so varied it depends on the mood I’m in. typically its something with a good beat.
FAVOURITE ROUTE ONE PRODUCT?
I LOVE the Carpenter Pants; I’ve got like 4 pairs and in all the colours. They’re the perfect trouser for skating in.
FAVOURITE ROUTE ONE RIDER?
Without a doubt, Ross Zajac. He’s so underrated, and I just wouldn’t be where I am in skateboarding today if it wasn’t for him. So yea definitely Ross.
IF YOU COULD STEAL A TRICK FROM ANOTHER RIDER, WHO AND WHAT WOULD IT BE?
It would have to be Declan’s frontside flips, he’s just got them on lock and with the Tom Penny style. You just cant fault them.
WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT YOUR CITY?
The spots are pretty sick, but id say the food and pubs are the best. There’s so much variety and there’s nothing better than finishing a session and then getting a meal and pint.
IF YOU HAD THREE WISHES, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?
1st would be to have a normal back; id just love to see how far I could go in skateboarding if it wasn’t holding me back. 2nd would be that my dog lives as long as I do. I want my wee pal in my life forever. 3rd wish would be to have a backyard skatepark, that’s pretty much every skaters dream isn’t it?
IF YOU HAD A PRO GRAPHIC, WHAT WOULD BE ON IT?
Hahahahah iv actually talked about this to my friends a lot! We’ve all collectively decided it would be the Santa Cruz screaming hand but with only 4 fingers that said, “High 4”. That’s the perfect pro model for me.
BEST EVER SKATE MISSION?
It Definitely has to be the trip to London for the Nike Sb 20 years event, it was just so up my street caused I’m such a sneaker head, but that same weekend we met up with the Red bull team again and hanging about with Jake Wooten and Jamie foy was a trip. Watching them skate is incredible.
SOMEONE TO LOOK OUT FOR?
It would have to be wee sandy. It’s funny, I met him at my local and he was on rollerblades, he asked for a shot on my board and next thing you know he’s doing kick flips and varial flips. I said to him he should get into skating more because he’s got so much potential. Then like a week later I see him absolutely shredding the loading bay. He’s the one to look out for!
